The YMZ294 and YMZ284 are compact Yamaha PSG sound source LSIs, software-compatible with the YM2149 (SSG). Both chips feature three square wave tone generators, one noise generator, and an envelope generator — delivering the classic chiptune sound beloved by retro hardware enthusiasts and makers alike.

Available as bare chips (SSGL for YMZ284, SSGLP for YMZ294) or bundled with the RE2-YMZ284/294 Sound Card for immediate use with SPFM-compatible systems.
